Intermediate Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Full Time

Salary - AU$81,123.00 - AU$90,749.00 per year including  Super

We are a thriving Brisbane-based practice that is continuously expanding. As a result, we are seeking an exceptional  Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic, multicultural team.

We are a thriving Brisbane-based practice that is continuously expanding. As a result, we are seeking an exceptional Team Leader - Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic, multicultural team.

The Team Leaders assists the Clinical Director and Practice Manager  to provide support to the Clinical Team and ensure the clinical team  can deliver exceptional service to the families. The Team Leader has a key role in helping the leadership team develop  and refine  In  Sync Kids OT  policies and procedures to be able to implement  efficiencies and facilitate service development.  

The Team Leader:

  • Provides clinical leadership and supervision to a small group of early career therapists.

  • Refines the professional development  requirements across the team and assists  with the development  of projects that improve clinical practice, service development and operation improvements.

  • Provides high quality, clinic based occupational therapy services to children and families;

  • Leading by example and supporting a growing a team of therapists.

In Sync Kids OT delivers OT for babies and children. Its team of experienced therapists value early intervention and are striving to help children to live their lives fully. We have a passion for the use of a Sensory Integration-based approach, helping children in their development and supporting parents to encourage their increased functional independence. We have very well equipped sensory spaces with the latest sensory equipment. We assess and treat children between the ages 0-18 with a variety of difficulties. Some of these include Sensory processing, Developmental Delays, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, fine and gross motor difficulties, handwriting problems, school readiness, behaviour and learning difficulties.

Successful applicants must demonstrate:

  •  A keen interest in working with children and their families, as well as teachers and other allied health professionals.

  • Post graduate training, including completion of CLASI Module 1 and 2.

  • Experience in using a Sensory Integration treatment approach and have a interest in completing the ASI certification.Advanced/specialist clinical skills using a variety of treatment approaches.

  •  Further training in NDT, Therapeutic Listening and Wilbarger Therapressure technique would be at a distinct advantage.

  •  A relevant degree in occupational therapy.

Allied Health OT Assistant

We are currently seeking to employ bright, dynamic, enthusiastic Allied Health OT Assistants who are keen to learn.

 

A qualification in Allied Health Assistance is essential. Alternatively, university students studying a relevant healthcare degree may also apply.

Job Shadowing / Voluntary Work Experience

AT In Sync Kids, we are eager to help those who are passionate about children and Occupational Therapy gain more insight into the private clinic work environment, and the impact that a great OT can have in the life of a child with daily struggles.
